COURSE DESCRIPTION This course will provide an overview of treatment options for partial to fully edentulous patients and patients with narrow ridges using removable and FIXED prosthetics. From traditional methods utilizing natural tooth-supported solutions to more advanced applications for full-arch fixed and removable implant-retained overdentures, this program focuses on the additional benefits for both the patient and clinician when using the gold standard of attachment systems. Topics discussed include diagnosis and treatment planning with failing or terminal dentition, patient and component selection, processes, techniques, and restorative procedures for both screw-retained and FIXED prosthetics with clinical cases.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES 1. Detailed instructions on the surgical techniques for placing narrow-diameter implants. 2. Observation of a LIVE implant surgery. 3. Tissue management and immediate load opportunities. 4. Review guidelines for diagnosis and treatment planning of removable tooth-supported,implant-retained overdentures and partials. 5. Learn simplified, accurate and logical systems for the predictable fabrication of full-arch removable and FIXED restorations.
HANDS-ON INCLUDES Armamentarium review, Surgical placement of 2 implants in a mandibular model, chairside pick-up of overdentures, and impression for lab fabrication.
